Excitement Builds for the 2024 Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards Hosted by Paul Sinha
LONDON — The much-anticipated Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar, is set to return for its 13th year, bringing excitement and celebration to the heart of London’s LGBTQ+ community. Scheduled for Wednesday, 9 October, the awards ceremony will take place at the iconic Camden Roundhouse and promises to be a night to remember.
Hosting the esteemed event will be comedian and television personality Paul Sinha, known for his sharp wit and deadpan comedic style. Sinha expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “I am hugely honoured to be asked to host the 2024 Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar, and to be given an opportunity to celebrate all that is great and good about an ever more diverse community and its allies.”
The event, a fixture in the LGBTQ+ calendar, will not only feature Sinha’s comedic talents but also a series of live performances by world-class acts, whose identities remain a closely guarded secret. The excitement surrounding the winners of the 2024 Attitude Awards is palpable, as their names will only be revealed on the momentous night. Following the event, a special edition of Attitude magazine featuring all the winners will be published the next morning.
Darren Styles OBE, publisher of Attitude, highlighted the significance of the awards, stating, “We return for the lucky thirteenth annual Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar, as the world’s biggest LGBTQ+ media brand.” He emphasised the importance of celebrating role models, icons, and unsung heroes within the community, recognising their contributions and efforts towards promoting diversity and inclusion.
The Attitude Awards has a long history of honouring exceptional individuals, exemplified by the special Legacy Award. The first Legacy Award was posthumously awarded to Diana, Princess of Wales, in 2017, with her son, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, accepting the accolade on her behalf.
Reflecting on his role, Paul Sinha remarked, “The Attitude Awards will be a raucous and joyful evening, but in this febrile political climate, it must never descend into smug complacency.” Sinha, known for his self-deprecating humour, joked, “Nonetheless, it will be my privilege to try to entertain the crowd, and hopefully avoid autocue disaster or wardrobe malfunction. Unlike our prime minister, I’ll have bought my own suit.”
The previous year’s Attitude Awards set a high bar with notable winners and performers, such as Dylan Mulvaney, Jake Daniels, Becky Hill, Sasha Colby, Rob Madge, and Dame Shirley Bassey, making unforgettable contributions to the night’s success.
As the countdown to the 2024 Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards begins, anticipation grows for another spectacular celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies, reaffirming the importance of diversity, inclusion, and the power of individual expression.
