The Park Hyatt London River Thames opens in the Nine Elms area, featuring 203 elegantly designed rooms, vibrant dining options, and state-of-the-art wellness facilities.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has unveiled its latest landmark, the Park Hyatt London River Thames, signifying the brand’s inaugural presence in the United Kingdom. Nestled along the picturesque riverside in the burgeoning Nine Elms area, this luxurious property has been meticulously brought to life by a collaboration of esteemed designers and architects, including Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), Super Potato, and Studio Moren.

The hotel boasts 203 guestrooms, which have been exquisitely designed to reflect a blend of English sophistication and the timeless elegance characteristic of the Park Hyatt brand. Decorated in a muted, neutral palette of white and ebony, the rooms feature refined touches of leather and brass and are adorned with wallpaper conceived by iconic designer William Morris. Each room is bathed in natural light courtesy of floor-to-ceiling windows, offering guests unparalleled views of the River Thames, the historic Houses of Parliament, and the striking skyline of the City of London.

Art enthusiasts will find much to admire throughout the hotel, which prominently features an array of artworks. Notably, guests are greeted at the entrance by a Thames-inspired installation by artist Charlie Whinney. Other artworks created by Ian Rayer-Smith, Jo Taylor, Françoise Delaire, Gabriel Leung, George Blacklock, and Ewan David enhance the cultural tapestry of the hotel.

The dining offerings within the Park Hyatt London River Thames are set to captivate even the most discerning palates. The Nine Elms Kitchen & Terrace embraces a culinary philosophy that celebrates the bounty of seasonal ingredients, crafting dishes that honour the very essence of London itself. Additional venues include The Nine Elms Bar & Lounge and the sophisticated Tamisé Tea Lounge and Wine Library. A Cantonese restaurant is set to make its debut in late 2024, further expanding the hotel’s culinary landscape.

The hotel’s dedication to wellness is exemplified by an entire floor devoted to holistic relaxation and fitness. This area includes a spa with breathtaking views of the river, complemented by a fitness centre, an indoor swimming pool, six treatment rooms, and a serene relaxation lounge, promising a comprehensive wellness experience for its guests.

A significant draw for corporate and social gatherings, the hotel offers expansive meeting facilities, encompassing 14,337 square feet. Among these is one of the largest ballrooms opened in central London since 1929, capable of accommodating up to 830 guests. Additionally, flexible meeting rooms can be reconfigured to create a larger space, all opening out into a sizeable foyer.

Javier Águila, Group President EAME at Hyatt, expressed his enthusiasm for the opening, stating, “The opening of Park Hyatt London River Thames is a testament to our continued commitment to expanding our luxury brand offering across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East… We are confident that this hotel will exceed expectations.”

Echoing this sentiment, Guan Zhixiong, Director of R&F One, remarked, “One Nine Elms is an exciting mixed-use hotel and residential project with Park Hyatt London River Thames being the crown jewel among its offerings.” He highlighted the collaboration of professionals in architecture, construction, design, and hospitality, underlining the hotel’s potential to attract global elite and industry leaders.

The Park Hyatt London River Thames stands as an emblem of urban regeneration in Nine Elms, offering a luxurious retreat while integrating itself as a vibrant component of the local community and contributing to its economic and social dynamism. Positioned amongst some of London’s most storied landmarks, the hotel is poised to become a notable fixture on the city’s landscape.
