Fans in London are gearing up for R&B star Kehlani’s concert at the O2 Arena on January 29, part of her highly-anticipated Crash world tour, featuring special guests KWN and Keyrah.
Fans in London are eagerly anticipating the arrival of R&B star Kehlani, who is set to grace the O2 Arena with her presence on Wednesday, January 29, as part of her highly-awaited Crash world tour. Known for her chart-topping hits such as “Nights Like This” and “Gangsta,” Kehlani will be performing alongside special guests KWN and Keyrah, with ticket prices starting at £38.10.
Kehlani, a 29-year-old singer-songwriter from California, has carved a significant niche in the music industry since launching her solo career in 2014. The artist has garnered critical acclaim and commercial success, accumulating over twenty Gold and Platinum RIAA certifications and racking up an impressive 9 billion streams to date. She has also received recognition from the Grammy Awards, receiving nominations for “Best Urban Contemporary Album” for her gold-certified mixtape “You Should Be Here,” and “Best R&B Performance” for her platinum single “Distraction.”
An O2 Arena spokesperson remarked on Kehlani’s artistry, stating, “Kehlani will open your eyes, open your mind, and open your heart. For as blunt as they may be about life, longing, lust, and love, their music occupies an elevated state above even the best high—yet accessible by simply listening.”
Further solidifying her impact, Kehlani, who identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, has become a prominent role model in the LGBTQ community. The singer’s romantic history, including a well-publicised relationship with rapper Danielle Balbuena, known as 070 Shake, has contributed to her portrayal as a powerful figure in contemporary queer culture. Her 2017 release “Honey” has gained popularity as a first-dance song at weddings for many LGBTQ couples. Speaking to StyleCaster about her identity, Kehlani expressed appreciation for the evolving acceptance and visibility of non-binary individuals in music, reflecting, “It’s dope to see people now who are in that fluidity and people of that expression be able to exist and make music and everything be celebrated. …Younger me would probably have come to terms more quickly with my non-binary identity and how I present.”
The concert at the O2 will open its doors at 6.30pm, with the performance scheduled to commence at 7.30pm. General admission tickets are now available, with various pricing options ranging from £38.10 for outer stalls to £259.10 for premium seating in the venue’s executive lounge. Attendees will be required to display their tickets on their phones via The O2 or AXS app, with details concerning AXS Mobile ID tickets and official resale information provided upon ticket purchase. It is imperative for ticket holders to avoid unauthorized platforms, as tickets sold there will not be recognised for entry.
As anticipation builds for her performance in London, Kehlani’s concert represents not only a musical event but also a celebratory moment for her diverse array of fans, particularly within the LGBTQ community.
