Omega Breaks presents exclusive flight excursions aimed at providing unforgettable views of the Northern Lights, enhanced by expert commentary and guidance.

Omega Breaks Offers Unique Aurora Borealis Flight Experiences

Omega Breaks is offering a unique opportunity for those wishing to witness the Aurora Borealis, one of nature’s most mesmerising spectacles. Known popularly as the Northern Lights, this natural light display is caused by interactions between the Earth’s magnetic field and solar particles. For over 25 years, Omega Breaks has been organising flight excursions designed specifically to enhance viewing opportunities of this extraordinary phenomenon.

The Northern Lights can manifest as anything from a subtle glow on the horizon to a dramatic, all-encompassing display across the night sky. Omega Breaks’ excursions aim to maximise the chances of seeing this celestial event and promise an unforgettable experience for participants. The trips are not only the easiest, but also an affordable means to experience the Aurora Borealis.

In addition to the awe-inspiring natural lights, the package includes pre-flight presentations and comprehensive in-flight commentary by experienced astronomers. Among them is Pete Lawrence, known by many as one of the presenters on the BBC’s ‘Sky at Night’. Renowned for his expertise and world-class photography, Lawrence and his team guide passengers through the night sky, identifying notable constellations such as the Milky Way and Orion’s Belt.

Each trip lasts approximately three to three and a half hours, depending on the departure airport. During the flight, passengers will be served light refreshments, and all necessary airport taxes are included in the price. To encourage early bookings, Omega Breaks is offering a £25 discount per person to those using the code NQD, with the promotion valid until 7 November 2024.

The upcoming departure dates are as follows:

  • London Gatwick: 28 November 2024 and 26 March 2025
  • Birmingham: 27 March 2025
  • Manchester: 28 March 2025

The Omega Breaks Aurora excursions promise a remarkable journey through the night sky, offering both astronomical insights and a chance to witness one of the Earth’s great natural wonders.
