Unlock Pizzeria x House of Sunny: Where Food Meets Fashion in East London

From 5 to 15 December 2024, east London’s Unlock pizzeria teams up with fashion brand House of Sunny for a multi-sensory food and fashion experience.

From 5 to 15 December 2024, east London’s acclaimed pizzeria Unlock will host a remarkable event titled the “House of Sunny Pizza Party!” This collaboration between the cult fashion brand House of Sunny and the innovative pizzeria promises to merge the realms of food, fashion, and art in a multi-sensory experience.

House of Sunny, founded in Hackney in 2011 and helmed by creative director Sunny Williams, has gained recognition for its bold and sustainable fashion designs. The brand is favoured by high-profile celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Dua Lipa, and Bella Hadid, while cultivating a loyal social media following known as the “Homies.” The collaboration with Unlock reflects a growing trend of partnerships that bridge the gap between culinary and fashion experiences.

Unlock, co-founded by Naples-born siblings Arianna and Giovanni Izzo, has quickly garnered attention in the east London food scene, renowned for its gourmet pizza offerings and its dedication to showcasing local artists. The pizzeria made headlines earlier this year with the introduction of the ‘Luna,’ touted as the world’s first pizza taco.

“House of Sunny and Unlock share a deep passion for creativity, community, and bold aesthetics,” Sunny Williams remarked in an interview with the London Daily News. “Hackney is where it all began for us, so partnering with a local gem of a pizza joint like Unlock felt like the perfect way to bring this vision to life. Food, fashion, and art are universal forms of self-expression. We wanted to create a space that feels fun, welcoming, and inspiring— where you can also enjoy a slice of authentic Neapolitan pizza.”

As part of the event, House of Sunny will unveil a limited-edition pizza menu that features the innovative vegan ‘Luna’ pizza taco alongside the HoS Pizza, which boasts toppings such as tomato chutney, Cantabrico anchovies, Parmigiano cream, and more. The vegan version will feature a blend of fermented red cabbage, crispy cauliflower, and beetroot hummus.

Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a special capsule collection that includes t-shirts, hoodies, cardigans, and caps, alongside new uniforms for Unlock’s staff designed by House of Sunny.

Giovanni Izzo expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “At Unlock, we’re all about exploring unexpected combinations and we are excited to partner with a legendary fashion brand like House of Sunny, which has built such a powerful global identity while staying true to its roots. This collaboration is a celebration of food, fashion and the vibrant spirit of community.”

The pizzeria’s space will undergo a transformation into a retro playground featuring visual installations and personalised décor, embodying the spirit of both brands.

This unique intersection of fashion and gastronomy will take place at Unlock, located at 1 Monkwood Way, Hackney Wick, London, E3 2EG, from 5 to 15 December, inviting Londoners and visitors alike to indulge in an experience that tantalises the senses of taste and style.
