WeHo Pride Returns May 30 – June 1: Expect Parades, Music, and Celebration
West Hollywood, California – West Hollywood is gearing up for its annual WeHo Pride Weekend, set to occur from Friday, May 30 to Sunday, June 1, 2025. The vibrant celebration, hosted in and around West Hollywood Park at 647 N. San Vicente Blvd, promises a series of lively events designed to honour and celebrate the LGBTQ community.
The weekend festivities will include perennial favourites such as a free Friday night session at the OUTLOUD music festival, a colourful Street Fair, the Women’s Freedom Festival, and the annual Dyke March. One of the marquee events, the WeHo Pride Parade, will take to the streets, embodying the spirit of pride and solidarity. Alongside these festivities, the OUTLOUD at WeHo Pride music festival will provide a platform for a diverse lineup of artists, ensuring the celebration is as entertaining as it is meaningful.
From its inception in the early 1970s, pride events have played a pivotal role in West Hollywood’s local culture, evolving in scale and significance over the decades. Although West Hollywood became an incorporated city in 1984, its roots in LGBTQ advocacy trace back much further. Known for its robust and active LGBTQ community, the city — with more than 40% of its residents identifying as LGBTQ — remains a beacon of diversity and acceptance. Central to the community is the well-known “Rainbow District” along Santa Monica Boulevard, famous for its vibrant LGBTQ clubs, restaurants, and shops.
In addition to routine pride events, West Hollywood distinguishes itself by its continuous leadership on LGBTQ rights and equality. Notable initiatives include the establishment of the LGBTQ+ Commission and the Transgender Advisory Board, both of which have reinforced the city’s longstanding commitment to inclusivity and support for the LGBTQ community at various levels, including state, national, and international advocacy.
As the WeHo Pride Weekend approaches, more detailed event information will be made available on the official WeHo Pride website, www.wehopride.com.
